Denison Day 2018 Annual Meeting & Reunion Luncheon

OCTOBER 12, 2018

Friday Night Social Gathering at the Denison Homestead from 5-7pm. 

This complimentary event hosted by the Denison Board of Trustees is for Denison Society members, Homestead volunteers and Denison Day attendees.  Refreshments include beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and other light refreshments.  Please RSVP by October 5, 2018.

King Phillip's War Reenactment

Saturday, September 29th - Homestead open for tours and open hearth cooking demonstrations from noon - 4 pm. Gift Shop open noon - 4 pm.  Both Native and Colonial camps open 10 am - 4 pm.  Battle reenactment will take place at approximately 1:30 pm.  Admission: House Tours $5.00.  FREE admission for active Military, members, and children 6 and under.

Sunday, September 30th - Seminar 9:30 am - 11 pm. Homestead open for tours noon - 4 pm. Gift Shop open noon - 4 pm.  Both Native and Colonial camps open 12 - 4 pm.  Battle reenactment will take place at approximately 1:30 pm.

En Plein Air Artist Event

Artists will arrive at 9 am to begin capturing the beauty of the Homestead and surrounding fields, gardens and landscapes on canvas. The artists will have until 5 pm to finish a 11x14 or smaller canvas framed and wired to hang. The house museum will be open for tours from 12:00-4:00 pm. On Sunday July 15th  3:00-5:00 pm, there will be a reception and sale of the framed paintings. 30% of the proceeds will be donated to the Homestead.

Connecticut Open House Day

Come enjoy guided tours of the house museum with costumed museum staff. Also, watch an open hearth cooking demonstration, see our antique and vintage doll collection, visit our new dollhouse museum, take a walk around our beautiful garden and enjoy light refreshments. This event is free to the public and fun for the entire family.

Daffodil Festival

Join us for house museum tours,  an open=hearth cooking demonstration, children's crafts and enjoy the thousands of beautiful daffodils. Complimentary Refreshments.  Admission: $5/person.  FREE Admission for Members, Active Military Families, and Children 6 years and under.

Harvest Festival

Come join us for a wonderful afternoon, enjoy a tour of the house museum with costumed reenactors, hearth cooking, children’s crafts and refreshments. Admission is $3 with a canned food donation. All food donations will be donated to the Food Pantry at the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center.
